Located just north of Pillager, Pillsbury Forest Hardwoods is a family-owned sawmill with over 30 years of experience in the wood products industry. Built on hard work, integrity, and a dedication to quality, our business has grown alongside the community we proudly serve.

We specialize in producing high-quality grade lumber, timber, pallet cants, railroad ties, stakes, lath, and firewood. Every product that leaves our mill reflects our commitment to consistency and craftsmanship, combining proven methods with efficient, modern practices.

Beyond production, we actively purchase hardwood sawlogs from local loggers, helping support the regional forestry economy and maintain strong, lasting partnerships.

Our History

Pillsbury Forest Hardwoods was founded in 1990 with a simple goal: to manufacture quality forest products at a fair price. What began as a two-man operation with a portable mill has grown into a trusted name in the industry.

Over the years, we have expanded and evolved—starting with a portable mill, moving into our mill in Jenkins, Minnesota, and growing into the multi-person operation we run today near Pillager. Through every stage of growth, we have remained committed to quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and deep community roots.
